Equipment Manufacturing

We build small dedicated machines focused on a specific target motion, covering design, parts sourcing, prototyping, and condition logging as one flow. Rather than starting from general-purpose robots, we start from machines that reliably reproduce only the motion that is needed.

Dedicated machines first, generalization later

When automating manual work, starting with a multi-axis robot tends to inflate both cost and tuning effort. At Seimeido, we observe the target motion, break it into elements, and first build a dedicated machine that reproduces only that motion reliably. Only when the degrees of freedom run short do we consider extending to Cartesian mechanisms or robot arms.

How we design

  1. Identify the target motion: observe precisely what a person is doing
  2. Break the motion into elements: holding, lifting, timing, and so on
  3. Implement with a dedicated machine: the smallest mechanism that reliably reproduces that motion
  4. Record the conditions: log parameters and results to secure reproducibility
  5. Decide on extension: add degrees of freedom only when something is missing

Packaging Equipment
